LORNA FOX APPOINTED HEAD OF MARKETING, COMMUNICATIONS AND SPONSORSHIP
Triathlon Ireland has made a key appointment with the recruitment of Lorna Fox as Head of Marketing, Communications and Sponsorship.
Lorna will bring vast experience and capability to Triathlon Ireland, having worked across a range of organisations and brands in Ireland and Australia. Her most recent role was at St Kilda Football Club in Melbourne where she developed marketing strategies for non-football-related revenue streams.
She will replace Kevin Keane, who is moving to a position with the Olympic Federation of Ireland having served the organisation superbly over the past seven years, and will start her role in July at an exciting time for the sport.
Membership for Triathlon Ireland has bounced back strongly following COVID and has surpassed all-time record levels with more than 18,000 men, women and children participating in swim, bike, run activities. Triathlon Ireland has almost 100 affiliated clubs on the island of Ireland, a 37pc female participation rate and sanctions 200 events annually.
Later this summer, Triathlon Ireland and Dublin City Triathlon will host a prestigious Europe Triathlon Junior Cup event in the Phoenix Park, attracting the best young triathlon talent to race against Ireland’s up and coming triathletes.
