We’re delighted to announce that the Triathlon Ireland Awards Night 2026 will take place on Saturday, 7th November at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dún Laoghaire, Dublin.
Join us as we celebrate another incredible triathlon season, recognise the achievements of our athletes, clubs and volunteers, and come together to celebrate everything that makes our sport and community so special.

Dress code: Formal wear – cocktail dress and evening suit
The Awards Night is Triathlon Ireland’s opportunity to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our community throughout the year, recognising athletes across age group categories, National Championships, high performance and paratriathlon, alongside the coaches, volunteers, clubs and wider community members who make our sport what it is.

Overall National Championship Winners and National Series Winners
If you are an overall National Championship winner or an overall winner in the Triathlon National Series or Duathlon National Series, you are eligible for a discounted ticket to the Triathlon Ireland Awards.
Eligible athletes will receive a discount code in the coming weeks.

Relive the 2025 Awards Night
Last year, more than 300 triathletes, coaches, volunteers and members of the wider triathlon community came together at the Clayton Hotel Burlington to celebrate the 2025 season.
The evening was a celebration of achievement, community and the people who make triathlon special, with awards recognising outstanding performances across the sport alongside the contribution of coaches, volunteers, technical officials, clubs and race organisers.
From international success and national championship performances to the countless hours given by volunteers and coaches, the 2025 Awards Night showcased the breadth and depth of the Irish triathlon community.
2025 Award Winners
The 2025 Awards recognised an outstanding group of athletes and community members, including:
Athlete of the Year – Hollie Elliott
Hollie enjoyed an impressive international season, including three top-eight finishes at European Triathlon Cups, National Championship success and selection for the Los Angeles 2028 IOC Olympic Scholarship programme.
International Age Group Athlete of the Year – Majella Diskin
Majella claimed gold at both the World Triathlon Duathlon Championships in Pontevedra and the Europe Triathlon Duathlon Championships in Rumia, alongside a silver in the standard-distance event.
Junior Athlete of the Year – Senan McDonnell
Senan enjoyed a breakthrough final season as a junior, culminating in his first international podium at the European Junior Cup in Alanya.
Paratriathlete of the Year – Tom Williamson
Tom recorded two World Triathlon Para Series podiums and finished sixth at the World Championships, ending the season ranked sixth in the world and third in Europe.
Club Coach of the Year – Madeline Crawford
Madeline was recognised for her outstanding contribution to Down Triathlon Club, supporting athletes across swimming, cycling and running while helping create a safe, welcoming and athlete-centred environment.
Volunteer of the Year – Bernie Magorrian
Bernie was recognised for her extraordinary contribution to Down Triathlon Club, supporting juniors and seniors, coaching, volunteering and helping build a positive club community.
Technical Official of the Year – Carlota Izquierdo
Carlota was recognised for her exceptional contribution to domestic and international officiating, supporting events across the country and taking on key technical roles throughout the season.
Caroline Kearney Award – Diane Cordner
Diane was recognised for her exceptional contribution to women’s participation and inclusion in triathlon, supporting programmes that have opened the sport to women and underrepresented groups.
Lynne Algar Spirit of Triathlon Award – Jason Tivy
Jason was recognised for his passion, leadership and commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive club community in Crosshaven.
Photograph of the Year – James Wright, ‘Deep Dive’
James’ photograph, captured at Loughrea Triathlon, was selected as the 2025 Photograph of the Year following a public vote.
Race of the Year – Two Provinces Triathlon, organised by Lanesboro TC
The event was recognised for its exceptional organisation, athlete care, community spirit and the unforgettable atmosphere created by everyone involved.
Triathlon Ireland Hall of Fame
The 2025 Awards Night also saw Kevin Morgan inducted into the Triathlon Ireland Hall of Fame.
A true pioneer of Irish triathlon, Kevin was a longtime member of Olympian Triathlon Club and played an important role in developing the sport in Ireland. His contribution extended beyond his own impressive racing career, with his work as a teacher, coach, committee member and organiser helping inspire generations of athletes.
His legacy continues to be felt across the Irish triathlon community.

The 2026 Awards Night will once again shine a light on the exceptional performances, dedication and contribution of our triathlon community throughout the season.
From athletes competing at the highest level to the volunteers setting up races before dawn, coaches supporting athletes week after week, clubs creating welcoming communities and race organisers delivering unforgettable events – the Triathlon Ireland Awards night is a chance to celebrate them all.
