Triathlon National Championships
The Triathlon Ireland National Championships are the pinnacle of domestic racing, offering athletes the chance to compete for national titles across Sprint, Standard and Middle Distance events, as well as Aquabike, Aquathlon and Duathlon.
To be eligible for a national title or to place in the official championship results, you must hold a full Triathlon Ireland membership at the time of the event. Athletes racing under a One Day Membership (ODM) are not eligible for titles or rankings. Relay teams are also excluded from National Championship results.
Age requirements apply based on distance: athletes must be at least 16 years old by December 31st to compete in Sprint Championships, and at least 18 for Standard Distance. Requirements for Middle and Long Distance may vary by event.
Results are awarded by gender across both overall and age group categories.
Winning a National Championship title is the highest accolade in domestic racing and also forms part of Team Ireland selection criteria for international age-group representation, depending on the discipline and distance
