2016 Reviewed – Middle Distance National Champs
The list of winners of Cork Triathlon Club’s Lost Sheep Triathlon is like a who’s who of high achieving middle distance triathletes. In 2016 a number of previous winners, plus a host of reigning and former national champions across various distances made the trip to Kenmare to compete in what is widely regarded as one of the toughest triathlons of the summer.
At stake was not just the prestige of following in the footsteps of some of the best but the title of Middle Distance Champion 2016. Also up for grabs were Age Group middle distance medals and those looking for a hard day out were not disappointed as Kerry and West Cork threw some of the worst summer weather they had at competitors along the stunning course.
In the end Aidan Callaghan and Heather Foley came out on top to win the titles of Middle Distance Champions for 2016. You can read about the race elsewhere on our site and see the full results here.

Awards Night 2016
