Results and Gallery: Pikeman Triathlon
A sea swim from Rosslare beach, fast bike course and two loop run saw Sunday’s Pikeman Standard distance triathlon return for 2026 – with a new addition of Aquabike.
Standard distance for National Series Round 17!
Pikeman Triathlon returned to Rosslare on Sunday 13th September for Round 17 of the 2026 Triathlon National Series, with Bear Races hosting the event for the second consecutive year.
The Standard Distance race brought athletes to Rosslare Beach for a 1.5km sea swim, 40km bike and 10km run. The rolling swim start began at 8:30am, with athletes taking on the coastal bike course before finishing with the two-loop run.
Pikeman was penultimate race of the Triathlon National Series, with the final Triathlon National Series race of the season coming at Pulse Port Beach Triathlon on 26th September.
Open Race - Sherriff leads way
Conor Sherriff took the overall win in the men’s race, completing the Standard Distance course in a blistering 1:54:33 and gapping the rest of the field by over five minutes. Sherriff was among the fastest swimmers of the day, recording a 22:59 swim split before adding a 53:32 bike split and 36:11 run.
Tim Waters finished second in 1:59:57, with Ronan Potterton completing the Open podium in 2:01:06. John Paul Vereker finished fourth just seconds behind in 2:01:22.

Female Race - Kinsella takes the win
Aine Kinsella returned to Rosslare looking to build on her Triathlon National Series success and delivered another impressive performance, taking the women’s victory in 2:08:32.
Kinsella produced a balanced race across all three disciplines, recording a 26:33 swim, 57:10 bike and 42:34 run. Her victory saw her finish more than six minutes ahead of second-placed Naoise O’Donnell.
O’Donnell, representing Galway Triathlon Club, finished in 2:15:04, with a particularly strong 24:12 swim. Andrea Brennan of Belpark Triathlon Club completed the podium in 2:15:59, just 55 seconds behind O’Donnell.
