Hoare and Brennan Win Pulse Port BEach National Series 

James Hoare and Michelle Brennan were the quickest of the athletes that competed in the non-drafting National Series race at Pulse Port Beach over the weekend.

More than 400 men and women raced for the overall win and precious National Series points at the popular course in Co. Louth.

Hoare Wins Men's Race

James Hoare won the men’s race with some margin to spare - he crossed the line in 1hr 2mins and 51secs, putting in the 2nd quickest swim, the 4th quickest bike and the 2nd quickest run of the men’s field.

Gerald Troy came home in second place in 1hr 5mins 10secs after biking the quickest split of the day (30mins 40secs) while third place in the men’s race went to Philip Castles who crossed the line in 1hr 5mins 38secs.

Brennan Wins Women's Race

In the National Series women’s race, Michelle Brennan claimed a 31secs victory over Kate Kelly (2nd) and Shona Keane (3rd).

Brennan was 2nd quickest of the 121 women that entered the water, 8th quickest on the bike and 10th quickest on the run.

The quickest biker and runner of the day, Kate Kelly finished 2nd in 1hr 12mins 48secs, 16secs ahead of Shona Keane in 3rd place.
