Tri-Team Ireland Shine at Hamburg 2023

Hamburg, July 13th to 16th – the vibrant streets of Hamburg witnessed a magnificent gathering of thousands of athletes hailing from all corners of the world. Among the participants, a remarkable presence was showcased by the spirited Tri-Team Ireland Age Group athletes and their enthusiastic supporters, who left an indelible mark from the opening ceremony to the adrenaline-pumping finish line.
“It was another unforgettable edition of the World Triathlon Championships Series Hamburg, the oldest event in World Triathlon and undoubtedly one of our most popular top events on the calendar,” said Marisol Casado, President of World Triathlon.

More than 250,000 spectators cheer on the athletes
The atmosphere on Hamburg’s Rathausmarkt and the routes in the heart of the Hanseatic city was – as so often in previous years – sensational again at the 21st edition of “the world’s biggest tri”. More than 250,000 spectators followed the races on the four days of competition, supporting the 10,000 athletes who took part in the world title events for elite, juniors and age groups.
