Results & Gallery: Base2Race Harbourman 2023
Over 550 athletes took on today’s Base2Race Harbourman Triathlon hosted by Wicklow Triathlon Club, and they had every season of weather while doing so!
HOW THE ACTION UNFOLDED
In the women’s race, Wicklow Tri’s Emma O’Brien led from the beginning of the rolling start and stayed within the top five overall throughout, adding a home race win to last weekend’s National Champs victory at Hell of the West. Behind O’Brien, Ciara Wilson put in one of the quickest runs of the day to overtake Georgia Hamblett and move into second spot on the podium, Hamblett in third just 14 seconds back.
Colm Turner won the men’s race, putting in an impressive 34:21 for 10k to pass long time leader Alex Grey, and winning Base2Race Harbourman. Grey finished second in 2:02:24 and Anthony O’Brien holding his position from T2 to the finish line for third in a time of 2:03:27.
