Cork Splash and Dash
On a very sunny Friday, more than 200 children from nine schools around Cork City and county participated in a Splash and Dash, held in collaboration with Cork Sports Partnership.
The 5th and 6th class pupils swam three laps of the Gus Healy swimming pool and quickly transitioned to run three laps of the beautiful Japanese Gardens.
These Splash and Dash events give those involved an opportunity to complete an aquathon while having fun and making memories with their peers. From the pictures, a fantastic time was had by all!!
James Kirby, Cork Sports Partnership Sports Development Officer. said: “Cork Sports Partnership is delighted to partner with Triathlon Ireland to get the ever popular Splash & Dash Primary Schools Aquathlon event back on the Cork school calendar this year. It was fantastic to see well over 200 participants take part and have fun swimming and running all in the one event and we are looking forward to hosting more school events in 2024!”
