Preview: 2023 Duathlon National Champs

The biggest duathlon of the season is nearly here…the Duathlon National Championships at Belpark’s Phoenix Park Duathlon!

This Sunday, almost 350 duathletes representing 55 clubs will tackle the sprint distance course just a few kilometres from the city centre.

The Duathlon National Series

In order to complete the Duathlon National Series, an athlete’s best two Series results plus their National Duathlon Championships result are counted. This year’s 11 round series has been hotly contested, and all of the top contenders will be in action this weekend vying for both overall and age group podiums.

In both the men’s and women’s events, very little separates those vying for the podium in this year’s Duathlon National Series. With 12 of the top 13 athletes in attendance this weekend, and plenty of other contenders for the national champs title, both fields will be suitably stacked.
