The primary aim of the Motorcycle Official is safety for the rider and competitors alike. The Motorcycle Official course is designed to inform motorcyclists about triathlon, introduce them to the rules of the sport with a particular focus on the cycling disciple, safety, and how to observe competitors, detect infringements and issue penalties for rules breaches. The course also provides an introduction to advanced motorcycling and the “System of Motorcycle Control” used by all advanced riders and Class 1 police motorcyclists.
