Tri Team Ireland at the 2022 Europe Triathlon Champs Munich
A team of 26 Tri Team Ireland Age Group athletes were in action at the 2022 Europe Triathlon Championships Munich on Sunday.
Getting to race at the scenic Olympiapark in Munich was a special experience for the athletes, and racing across the 750m swim, 20k bike and 5k run was fast and furious. Gallery of images and results below…
Bronze Medal for Vanessa Fenton
In the 50 – 54 age group Vanessa Fenton took home the bronze medal for Tri Team Ireland with an impressive 1:14:12 finish time, just three seconds behind silver. Fourth place went to Fenton’s teammate Julie O’Hagan in a time of 1:15:34.
The other top ten finishes of the day went to Geraldine Hyslop and Daniel McManus. Geraldine finished a super seventh in the women’s 65-69 AG and Daniel was eighth in the competitive men’s 30-34 AG.
