Applications Open for World Triathlon Sustainability Commission

Triathlon Ireland is now seeking expression of interest applications for nomination to the World Triathlon Sustainability Commission.

The World Triathlon Sustainability Commission was initially approved for formation at Congress in Lausanne, 2019 and subsequently formed in early 2020. Initial moves by World Triathlon included a commitment to the UNEP’s, IOC-supported, Clean Seas initiative and the UN Sport for Climate Action framework. These moves were then backed up by the Commission’s creation and publication of the World Triathlon sustainability guidelines for event organisers which contributed to the receipt of a Carbon Action Award from the IOC and their partner DOW in 2020.
