Youth Series: Round 3 Super Skills in Skerries

Round 3 of the Youth Series supported by Costcutter took place in Skerries, County Dublin.
With almost 200 athletes, ranging from age 6 to 17 racing, it was set up to be a very exciting day and it sure did not disappoint.
Each age group raced over their own age specific distance, allowing for some great racing to take place.
Ages 6-7: 50m swim, 1.5km bike, 600m run. Julianne Buck and Max Quinn taking the top step.
Ages 8-9: 100m swim, 2km bike, 800m run. Niamh Graham and Oran O Loughlin taking the win.
Ages 10-11: 200m swim, 6km bike, 1km run. Danielle Nolan and Shea Carragher battling hard to take the tape in a very close finish.
Ages 12-13: 400m swim, 8km bike, 2.4km run. Sarah Gaffney and Turlough Donnell racing to the wire and winning.
Ages 14-15: 500m swim, 10km bike, 3km run. Grace Byrne and Mathys Bocquet showing their strength to take home the prize.
Ages 16-17: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run. Finally, over the full sprint distance, Isabelle Perry and Finn Buck, showed their strength and speed to cross the finish line in first place.

The was a great display of fun and competition on show in Skerries for round 3 of the Youth Series supported by Costcutter. We now look ahead to next weekend which has multiple race venue options on offer.
