National Paratriathlon Championships 2017
More than 25 athletes competed in the National Paratriathlon Championships 2017 and at an innovative relay event in Loughrea, Co. Galway over the weekend.
The relay event marked the first time ever that both abled bodied and para athletes joined forces to achieve one common goal by competing in the same team. The aim was to encourage para athletes from different sports to work together enjoy the craic and competition.
Paralympians
The weather didn’t deter these athletes at all levels from finishing what was a great day. No fewer than six Paralympians from various sports fought for the prize of becoming Ireland’s 1st Paratriathlon Relay Champion.
There were some quick times to be had, and it was just great to be part of what was a super day.
