As part of our 2026 Year in Review series, we’re celebrating the athletes and events that made this season special. Next up, the Triathlon Ireland Paratriathlon National Championships, held at Tri The Lough in Loughmacrory, Co. Tyrone on 1st August.
Organised by Omagh Triathlon Club, the event welcomed paratriathletes across multiple PTS categories to compete for national titles against the beautiful backdrop of Loughmacrory.
Athletes tackled a sprint-distance course featuring a 750m swim in the lough, a 20km bike on rolling roads and a 5km run along a flat woodland route.
With fantastic support from Omagh Triathlon Club volunteers, the Championships brought together experienced competitors and athletes experiencing championship racing for the first time.
Congratulations to all our athletes who took home national titles and medals:
The celebrations continue this Saturday 7th November, at the Triathlon Ireland Awards Night at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dún Laoghaire.
All our 2026 National Champions and medal winners will be recognised as we come together to celebrate another fantastic season of triathlon in Ireland.
There’s still time to join us! Individual tickets and limited club tables are available now.
