Results & Gallery: Dunne & Diamond Win RDJ Dublin City Triathlon 2026

RDJ Dublin City Triathlon Sprint Distance race in Phoenix park, Dublin, provided a fantastic setting for Round 14 of the 2026 Triathlon National Series supported by host club Piranha TC.

750m Swim in River Liffey
23km Cycle along Chapelizod Road and into Phoenix Park
5km Run around Phoenix Park

A sunny late August morning provided near-perfect conditions for the race, with calm, glassy waters on the River Liffey and virtually no breeze.

The swim began at the Garda Boat Club, with the 750m sprint distance course consisting of one anti-clockwise lap.

The scenic and spectator friendly 23km bike course, completed over three laps, headed out from the Garda Boat Club along Chapelizod Road and into Phoenix Park.

The 5km three-lap run course followed Chapelizod Road towards Chapelizod Gate, with turnaround points bringing athletes back towards the Boat Club – with the final lap leading runners into the finish chute.

Female Race

Sarah Diamond of Wicklow Triathlon Club took the women’s title, ahead of National Triathlon Centre’s Eve Burns and in third place, Triathlon National Series newcomer Rebekka Prim.

Open Race

Shane Dunne retained his RDJ Dublin City Triathlon title, having led from the start – followed by National Triathlon Centre athletes Pearse Gallagher and Sean McMahon (Piranha TC) in third.
