Hayes wins 2018 Dakhla ATU Sprint Triathlon African Cup
Carolyn Hayes secured the first international win of her 2018 season at the 2018 Dakhla ATU Sprint Triathlon African Cup in Morocco over the weekend.
Coming out of the water in fourth position after the 750 metre course, Carolyn closed the gap to the leaders out on the 4 lap bike course.

Finishing with the fastest run of the day, Hayes crossed the line 1:05:24, 25 seconds ahead of Sara Perez Sala, Jony Heerink in third.
Men’s race
Ben Shaw finished 9th in the closely contested men’s race, James Edgar finished in 15th.
Carolyn Hayes and Ben Shaw race next in the 2018 Dakar ATU Sprint Triathlon African Cup on Sunday, 9th December.
