Kennedy has Top-10 Finish in Tiszaujvaros, Hungary

Hannah Kennedy enjoyed a successful weekend at the Europe Triathlon Junior Cup in Tiszaujvaros, Hungary, first securing victory in her qualification race on Saturday before going on to finish 10th in Sunday’s Junior Women’s Final.

Kennedy delivered a composed performance on the super-sprint course against some of Europe’s leading junior athletes, and crossed the line in 42:28 to claim 10th place overall.

You can watch the highlights from the race below.

Emma O’Brien in Wels, Austria

At the Europe Triathlon Cup in Wels, Austria, Emma O’Brien battled demanding conditions, air temperatures reaching almost 37°C, to secure 16th place in a strong Elite Women’s field.

A solid swim and working hard in the bike pack over the 22km course resulted in O’Brien being firmly in mix within the large Wels field. Coming home inside the top 20 at Wels is one of Emma’s PB performances at the level.

Emma was pleased with the result as she outlines:

"Overall I was happy with how the race went. There is always a lot to take away and learn from these races. Next weekend I race in Morocco in an African cup followed by National Champs."
