Women in Sport: Spring and Summer events and camps

As the days get longer and the season kicks into gear, there’s no better time to get involved in Women in Sport training opportunities with Triathlon Ireland. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your performance, these camps and sessions are designed to support, empower, and inspire women at every stage of their triathlon journey.

Led by Triathlon Ireland Coaches and supported by clubs nationwide, our Spring and Summer calendar is building up with opportunities to train smarter, gain confidence, and connect with our wonderful community of female athletes.

What’s coming this Spring and Summer 

Following the success of our 2025 camps and events, a full schedule of Women in Sport Summer Training Sessions and Camps will take place across various locations this Spring and Summer.

Expect:

  • Swimming Pool and Open water swim sessions to build confidence in race conditions

  • Group cycling and skills 

  • Brick sessions and race simulation workouts

  • Workshops on nutrition, mindset, race prep, and recovery

  • Continued opportunities to meet and train with a growing community of women in triathlon.

WIS | Triathlon (OWS) Training Camp - April - LAOIS

Join us for our 2-day Summer Triathlon Training Camp led by expert coach Eimear Mathews. 
 

What to expect: 

Two days of training with a special focus on Open Water Swimming. 

Programme Schedule:

Saturday, 25th April: Run Session, Spin / Brick Session, Flexibility and Relaxation Class, Bike Skills, Open Water Swim

Sunday, 26th April: Bike session, Open Water Session, Brick Session. 

Location:

Annanough GAA Centre & Vicarstown, Co. Laois R32 RX67.

Note: Accommodation and travel arrangements are the responsibility of the attendee.

Fee: 

€60.00

You Will Need: 


Swim: Wetsuit, swimsuit/trisuit, hat, goggles, tow float
Bike: Turbo trainer, bike, comfortable cycling attire, helmet, cycling shoes/runners,
(please note, there are 10 spin bikes available so if you don’t have a turbo trainer you can use one).
Run: Runners, comfortable running shoes
Snacks and water (Lunch will be provided)

Note: Tow floats and wetsuits are mandatory. You must be able to swim and have
some open water experience to participate.

You must be over 18 and have a 2026 Triathlon Ireland Full or Training Membership to participate. Registration is limited to 14 spaces.

WIS | 1 DAY TRAINING CAMP - APRIL - TRIM

Join us for an empowering 1- day Triathlon Training Event led by expert coach Miriam Wall and supported by Midlands Triathlon Club.

What to Expect:

The day is designed specifically for women who want to sharpen their triathlon skills and build confidence in a supportive, fun environment.

Programme Schedule: 

Saturday 11th April 10am-5.30pm 

  • Meet and Greet (Aura Leisure Centre)
  • Run Session (Trim Castle) 
  • Tea & Coffee break
  • Spin Session (Aura Spin Studio)
  • Lunch (Castle Arch Hotel)
  • Wellness Talk (Aura Leisure Centre)
  • Swim Session (Aura Leisure Centre)

Fee: 

€30

Swimsuit, hat, goggles – please bring €1 for lockers, Comfortable clothes for spin session, Runners / trainers. Snack and water.

WIS | Triathlon Training WEEKEND - April - galway

Triathlon Ireland are delighted to announce an exclusive weekend-long Women’s Spring Triathlon Training Camp supported by Galway Triathlon  Club on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th April 2026.

What to Expect:

Train with a experienced coach, Miriam Wall who understands the unique needs of female athletes. Gain valuable race-day insights, and connect with an incredible community of like-minded women.

Whether you’re a first-time triathlete or a seasoned competitor, this camp is tailored to meet your needs in a supportive, social, safe and empowering environment!

Programme Schedule: 

  • Daily swimming, spinning, and running sessions
  • Strength & Conditioning and recovery sessions
  • Women’s nutrition for triathlon workshop

Based from Kingfisher Club, University of Galway (H91 X53V)

€70.00

WIS| Spring Training Camp - BELFAST MARCH 2026

Triathlon Ireland are excited to launch a weekend Women’s Spring Triathlon Training Camp in Belfast 28th February – 1st March 2026.

What to expect:

Coached programme swim, cycle and run with coaches Anne Mageean and Diane Cordner

Programme Schedule: 

  • Run session at Mary Peter’s Track
  • Expert led swim sessions at QUB
  • Transition skills
  • Bike maintenance workshop
  • Group bike ride 

Location: 

Queens University Belfast / Mary Peter’s Track

Fee:

Euro 70
