Celebrating the next generation of champions
After an action-packed season that took Ireland’s young triathletes from Armargh to Tipperary, Kildare to Cork and everywhere in between, the 2025 Triathlon Ireland Youth Series – proudly supported by AIG showed the remarkable growth, talent, and determination of Ireland’s next generation of athletes.
To celebrate the success of the 2025 Youth Series, supported by AIG, athletes are invited to join us on 1st March 2026 at the Triathlon Ireland Youth Awards.
Talent and Teamwork
The 2025 Youth Series, supported by AIG, not only celebrated individual excellence but also highlighted the collective strength of Ireland’s youth triathlon community. Across the season, athletes from clubs nationwide competed with passion and sportsmanship, supported every step of the way by parents, coaches and volunteers who are helping to make this sport thrive.
From the youngest 11-12 years olds taking on their first triathlons to seasoned 17 year olds preparing for Junior ranks, every age group delivered inspiring performances and memorable racing moments.

Youth Series, supported by AIG – Female Roundup
The 11–12 girls’ title went to Kiyomi Tosh, who enjoyed an outstanding season to finish with a maximum 2,400 points thanks to wins at Loughrea, Skerries, and South Lake Junior Triathlon.. Rachel Smith placed second with 2,325 points, with standout performances at Dungarvan and Clonmel, while Grace Foley’s steady form saw her take third overall on 2,203.13 points after a strong campaign including Athy and South Lake.
In the 13–14 girls’ category, Roxane Sands was claimed top honours with 2,347.5 points, after strong results at Loughrea, Athy “Flat Out” Duathlon, and South Lake. Sophie Rankin pushed her all the way to finish second on 2,325 points following podiums at Skerries and South Lake, and Anna Brett’s determined performances across Fastnet and Clonmel earned her third on 2,191.45 points.
The 15–16 girls’ field produced some of the closest racing of the year. Lara Buck emerged victorious with 2,400 points, with wins at Loughrea, Athy “Flat Out” Duathlon, and Pulse Port Beach Triathlon. Cadey Moore took second place (2,272.5 points) after consistent podium finishes at Skerries and Clonmel, while Lara O’Brien Leahy completed the top three with 2,255.63 points thanks to standout results at Clonmel and Fastnet.
Finally, in the 17 girls’ category, Chloe Young capped off her Youth Series journey with a flawless 2,400-point total, winning at Loughrea, Pulse Port Beach, and South Lake Junior Triathlon. Aoibheann Ryan claimed second with 2,325 points after excellent showings at Athy and Dungarvan Duathlon, while Sophie Igoe’s consistency across Loughrea, Clonmel, and Athy secured her third with 2,203.13 points.

Youth Series, Supported by AIG – Male roundup
In the 11–12 boys’ category, Oliver Foley topped the leaderboard with a total of 2,347.5 points, sealing victory through wins at the Loughrea Youth Triathlon National Championships and South Lake Junior Triathlon, along with a podium at Athy Tri Club’s “Flat Out” Junior Duathlon. Charlie Brett took second with 2,255.63 points after consistent top finishes at Loughrea, Pulse Port Beach, and Skerries, while Max Bamford completed the podium on 2,138.95 points after a solid campaign featuring Clonmel Aquathlon and Skerries Junior Triathlon.
The 13–14 boys’ title went to William McNally, who completed a perfect season with 2,400 points. His victories at Loughrea, Athy “Flat Out” Duathlon, and South Lake Junior Triathlon secured a commanding win. Ruairí Reynolds followed in second with 2,255.63 points after standout races at Skerries and Fastnet Aquathlon, while Ben Storey’s consistency earned him third overall with 2,138.95 points and strong results from Dungarvan and Fastnet.
In the 15–16 boys’ category, Evan Tosh emerged as champion with 2,325 points, thanks to standout results at Loughrea, Pulse Port Beach, and South Lake Junior Triathlon. Eoin Mulkerrins finished runner-up on 2,191.45 points after strong showings at Dungarvan Duathlon and Clonmel Aquathlon, while Sam Cooney placed third overall (2,079.59 points) following consistent form at Loughrea, Skerries, and Pulse Port Beach.
At the top of the 17 boys’ category, Kevin McNally led from the front with 2,220 points, recording high-scoring finishes at the Loughrea Youth Triathlon National Championships, Athy “Flat Out” Duathlon, and South Lake Junior Triathlon. David McClean secured second place (2,191.45 points) with key performances at Loughrea, Skerries, and Athy, while Matthew McKenna took third on 2,154.56 points, bolstered by results at Pulse Port Beach and South Lake Junior Triathlon.
Youth National Championships Loughrea
This summer’s Youth National Championships at Loughrea Youth Triathlon brought together the best young athletes from across the island.The event served as both a championship highlight and a key scoring race within the Youth Series, showcasing exceptional racing standards and sportsmanship across every age group.

Looking Ahead
To celebrate an incredible season, Triathlon Ireland will host a Youth Awards on 1st March 2026 at the National Triathlon Centre, University of Limerick (UL).
This event will showcase the amazing achievements of athletes from across the country and celebrate everyone who played a role in this year’s success, from competitors and coaches to parents and organisers.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you in March – and to see you back on the start line for the 2026 Youth Series, supported by AIG!
