In the Netherlands, four Irish athletes experienced one of the most challenging events on the ETU circuit at the Holten European Premium Cup.

The result of the weekend came from James Edgar, who finished a very impressive 7th in the Junior race - eight places better than his outing in the same event last year.

Holten Kieran Jackson Run

In the senior race, Chris Mintern, Kieran Jackson and Darren Dunne all lined out for their first international race of the 2017 season.

Mintern fared the best of the Irish, finishing 32nd in a race that was won by multiple World Champion, Richard Murray. Kieran Jackson came home just four seconds behind Mintern but back luck befell Darren Dunne, who crashed out on the bike course. Darren was uninjured but was unable to continue the race and recorded a DNF.
