Tight at the top! The Men’s 2023 Triathlon National Series came down to the final few races of the season and an athlete who wasn’t shy of a podium in 2023, Colm Turner, emerged the victor. Five points shy of the lead, Anthony O’Brien finished in second with Lochlainn Connolly rounding out the top three.
Turner, also came out of this year as National Middle Distance Champion, so it really was a great season. Piranha Triathlon Club’s Anthony O’Brien picked up his first win at TriAthy along with podiums at Harbourman, Pulse Port Beach and Hell of The West! Invictus TC’s, Lochlainn Connolly only scored in 4 races but his results were there to back it up, winning Crooked Lake, Dublin City Triathlon and Pikeman, while finishing second in Carlow Tri795 at the beginning of the season!
