Athlone Triathlon Club Achieve Evolve Bronze Club Standard

Athlone Triathlon Club has become the third club to be recognised under Triathlon Ireland’s Evolve Club Standards Programme.

The club has achieved the Bronze Accreditation Level, for the governance standards they’ve put in place to make Athlone Triathlon Club a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all genders and ages.

Gerarly Lynch, Athlone Triathlon Club Chairperson spoke about how the club have been actively engaged in ensuring the club is a place for anyone to come and experience triathlon.

“As a chairperson, and as a committee, we are committed to providing a welcoming, safe and rewarding place for people of all ages and abilities to experience triathlon. Receiving this award gives us the confidence and recognition that we are fulfilling our club values that we have laid out and also that we have created a truly inclusive space for everyone to feel they will belong whilst trying to TRI.

We are extremely proud to have this accreditation as it feels like we have hit a huge milestone as a team, there has been a lot of hard work and effort to get it over the line and we will continue to lead with the values to ensure our little club in the heart of the midlands continues to blossom”. Gerald Lynch, Athlone Triathlon Club Chairperson.
