Triathlon Ireland hosts National Talent Identification (Talent ID) Days each year as part of its commitment to developing the next generation of high-performance athletes.
These sessions are designed to identify and support athletes with the potential to progress onto National Youth and Junior squads, providing a clear pathway into Elite triathlon.
Talent ID is a structured performance assessment programme that evaluates key physical and technical attributes relevant to triathlon performance. It offers athletes the opportunity to:

Whether you’re already competing in triathlon or coming from swimming, cycling, running, or another sport, these sessions are designed to uncover potential.
Each Talent ID session is delivered by experienced coaches and HP Team and typically includes swim and run-based assessments lasting between 2 – 4 hours.
Athletes must bring their own nutrition, hydration and equipment.
Talent ID Days are held each Autumn across the four provinces.
