Triathlon Ireland hosts National Talent Identification (Talent ID) Days each year as part of its commitment to developing the next generation of high-performance athletes.
These sessions are designed to identify and support athletes with the potential to progress onto National Youth and Junior squads, providing a clear pathway into Elite triathlon.

Triathlon Ireland will be hosting Provincial Talent ID Days.
Talent ID is a performance assessment event for those who wish to join the Triathlon Ireland National Youth, Junior and Horizon Squads.
The sessions are open to all athletes aged between 12 and 23 on the 31st December 2025.
A sold-out event of 280 duathletes between the age of 4 and 19 arrived to Narraghmore, Co. Kildare to take on the 2026 Athy Junior Flat Out Duathlon.
The Women’s Student Coaching Academy is an initiative designed to help increase the visibility of femal ecoaches and to support and develop female student coaches.
Join Tri Team Ireland Age Group Day on 31 May at Sport Ireland Campus. Coached session, lunch, athlete insights, and meet the team. Open to Age Group athletes, especially those racing internationally.
Following the 2026 Triathlon Ireland AGM, Karen Lewis has been elected to the role of president.
The 2026 Duathlon National Series has concluded after eight exciting and challenging rounds of racing, running from mid-January through til April.
