Youth Series supported by Costcutter – Round 6 Moby Dick Youghal

Race number 6 in the Youth Series supported by Costcutter takes place at the Moby Dick Triathlon in County Cork.

About Youghal

Race director Richella Ryan commented on the race saying;

‘Located in the Seaside Town of Youghal, our Youth Event begins with what can be a challenging swim in the wild Atlantic ocean. All swims are out of depth so we advise practice in open water conditions in preparation. The bike route is on closed roads, flat and fast which guarantees an exciting race and often a change on the leaderboard. Our run route finishes along our beachfront boardwalk with breathtaking views of the ocean. As the clock ticks, they’re travelling too fast at this stage to truly appreciate their beautiful surroundings. There is ample spectator viewing spots on the banks of the beach to view athletes as they swim and run.’

About the Youth Series supported by Costcutter

For the first time ever, teenage athletes will get the chance to compete against one another in a season-long competition, with the introduction of a new exciting race series. The series will have a focus on fun and participation providing the athletes with a safe and inclusive environment to make life-long memories with both old and new friends. This racing experience is designed to provide a platform for everyone to stay involved in triathlon for many years to come. The Youth series will be run alongside existing senior events to provide that big-race experience. Family bragging rights are up for grabs!!
