Waterways Ireland Barrow Aquathlon

Triathlon Ireland and Athy Triathlon Club are hosting a free of charge Family Aquathlon Participation Event on the River Barrow in Athy on September 17th at 9am.

This beginner friendly event brings adults and kids together on the same team to compete in a fun relay-format.

Fun Family Event

Each team will consist of one junior athlete (aged 10-15 years) and one adult athlete.

Junior athletes will swim 200m, then run 800m before handing over to their adult teammate, who will swim 500m and run 1,600m to the finish line.

Each team will receive a finish time, however the event’s focus is on fun and participation.

Three teams will receive complimentary 2018 Triathlon Ireland Junior and Senior Race Licence memberships.
