Zwift Winter-Spring League Rnd 4

Round 4 – Casse=Pattes iTT

After two rounds of draft-legal racing, Round 4 of the Zwift Winter-Spring league sees us return to the core of triathlon cycling – the time trial!

Wednesday’s race is called Casse-Pattes – a scenic route with a scary name which we are advised loosely translates from the French as the leg-breaker.

Whether you want to actually go that hard is up to you but either way a strategy is a big advantage when it comes to time trialing on Zwift – drafting will be turned off so hanging on to the wheel in front is not an option!

The course

With a distance of 23km and 155m of climbing, Casse-Pattes is an intermediate course, which Zwift describes as rolling through the flatlands before ascending the switchbacks up to the hilly KOM. After a fast and furious descent, hit the Marina for a mad-dash finish.

Zwift Insider has a more in-depth description but if you want to practice the course this week, you’ll need to join a pre-existing event or create a meet up.

ENTER THE RACE

Enter the race directly on Zwift or the Zwift Companion App and if you’re curious about who else will be on the start line the current entry list on ZwiftPower should start updating from around 24hours before start time.

League After Round 3

Check out the current league standings following Round 3 here.

Note: The league table is manually compiled only once per week – this happens on Thursday mornings following the previous night’s race.

Any errors of changes that need to be made to the previous week’s table are implemented at this time as well so if you’ve been in touch with a change request during the week bear with us until the Thursday update.

New to Zwift Racing?

If you’re reading this and haven’t tried Zwift Racing yet – we strongly encourage you to jump right in! It’s a lot of fun and you’ll find lots of familiar names from the domestic scene racing alongside you in the league. Most Triathlon Ireland clubs have teams and getting started is not as difficult as you might imagine – all you need is an internet connection, a smart turbo trainer and a heart rate monitor.

Check out our Zwift Racing Start-Up guide and join us this Wednesday.
