Overall League Results
Rounds 1 – 10 Weekly Results
Pakenham Battles to the top
Roisin Pakenham was the overall winner of the Woman’s Zwift Time Trial league. Roisin battled her way through eight rounds of the league with some very close competition along the way by Dympna Kelly (2nd Overall), Michelle Brennan (3rd Overall) and June McMinn (4th Overall). Roisin Finished off the league with a really impressive score of 659.51 points, while Dympna Kelly was marginally behind her with 656.61 points.
Speaking to Roisin after her final race in round 10 she said:
The Zwift TT League was a fantastic experience. It allowed me to go all out on the bike which I’d never done before and something I’d like to do more of in the future. As the weeks went on, I found it became more competitive racing against the other ladies and it was a great motivator to keep the sessions up during lockdown.
Women’s Overall League Winners
Over the 10 rounds of the Zwift Time Trial races, 74 women put themselves to the test across the various courses. Each week we saw some healthy competition in the Women’s league with a consistent group of women racing against each other each week. June McMinn (4th Overall), Emma Hingston (5th Overall) and Andrea Cullen (6th Overall) put pressure on our overall winners each week with some really close finishing times. Check out the overall winners below, well done to everyone who hopped on their turbo each week!

Luke McCarron cycled his way to finish first overall in the Men’s Zwift Time Trial League. Placing first overall in four of the nine races, Luke finished the series with a total of 710.66 points. McCarron and Brennan (2nd Overall) and Carroll (3rd Overall) took lead after the first few rounds to continue on until round 10, some great competition over the weeks by the riders. Enda Bagnall (4th Overall) Micheal McCarron (5th Overall) and Luke Osborne (6th Overall) added to the competition with some top place finishes over the 10 rounds
Speaking to Luke after round 10 he said:
I am delighted to take the overall win in the Triathlon Ireland Zwift Time Trial series. It was a very well organised league that gave all of us competitors something to focus our minds (and legs!) on each week. I think it was some of the hardest bike racing I have done, and that is kudos to the lads who pushed me week in and week out.
Personally, it was satisfying to quantify the improvements in my performance over the course of the league and I am just glad that it was enough to come out on top. This year I had a horrible winter due to tendonitis. Undoubtedly the Triathlon Ireland Zwift league has helped me get back close to the level I was at prior to the injury.
In finishing, I would like to thank Triathlon Ireland for putting together such a great initiative, it made those weeks of lockdown a lot more exciting and has definitely made me even hungrier to get back racing in the real world. In addition, thanks to Patrick McLaughlin at PodiumFit for keeping me right and also to my parents for putting up with the garage-to-gym conversion I and my brother managed to pull off (we promise we’ll give it back soon!).
