2026 Year in Review: Duathlon National Championships

Looking back at the Year in Review – the 2026 Duathlon National Championships brought an exciting morning of racing to Phoenix Park on Sunday 19th April, as athletes from across Ireland came together to compete for national titles.

Phoenix Park - 2026 DUATHLON CHAMPS

Hosted by Belpark Triathlon Club, the National Championships saw athletes take on a challenging 4.6km run, 19km bike and 4km run course.

With returning champions defending their titles and new talent making its mark, the racing delivered plenty of excitement across both the Open and Female fields. At the end of a fiercely competitive day, Niall Cornyn and Emma O’Brien emerged as the 2026 National Champions, leading a talented field of athletes across the finish line.

Celebrating the people behind the race

The Duathlon National Championships would not be possible without the commitment of the organising club Belpark TC, race officials, volunteers and everyone working behind the scenes.

Join us at the Triathlon Ireland Awards

The celebrations will continue at the Triathlon Ireland Awards Night on Saturday 7th November 2026, at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dún Laoghaire, Dublin.

The Awards Night will bring the curtain down on another remarkable season, recognising the achievements of our 2026 champions, clubs, volunteers and the wider Triathlon Ireland community.

It will be an opportunity to celebrate the performances that have made this season one to remember, including the athletes who earned national honours in Phoenix Park.

Join us in celebrating our champions and the people who make Irish triathlon and duathlon such a vibrant community.
