Women in Sport Leadership Programme 2026
Triathlon Ireland and Cycling Ireland Collaboration
Triathlon Ireland and Cycling Ireland are delighted to announce the Women in Sport Leadership collaboration for 2026.
Lisa Clancy and Sarah O’Shea have been rolling out a Women in Sport Leadership programme in Ireland since 2020.
The course has proved to be hugely successful with over 500 participants completing the course across over 50 different sporting organisations in Ireland and in Europe.
Participants have included club members, athletes, coaches, volunteers, board members and support personnel from a variety of backgrounds within Clubs, National Governing Bodies and Local Sports Partnerships.
Aim of the course
The aim of the course is to provide training, guidance and expertise to support women to thrive in leadership positions in sport at all levels.
This course has been specifically designed for women in sport to step up at their specific level and break down any barriers that may be holding them back and help to ensure the quota of 40% of Board members to be female by 2023 is maintained. Supported by Sport Ireland the course has been evaluated.
