International Round Up: 27/28 October
International racing was focussed on the last Paratriathlon World Cup of the year at the Madeira Paratriathlon World Cup Funchal and at the penultimate race in this year’s ITU World Cup series at the 2018 Tongyeong ITU Triathlon World Cup.
Madeira Paratriathlon World Cup Funchal
Five Irish paratriathletes raced over the weekend in the final paratriathlon World Cup of 2018, the Madeira Paratriathlon World Cup Funchal: Donnacha McCarthy, Nicolas DeWalque, Leo Hynes, Tojo Lazzari and Aidan McGlynn.

2018 Funchal ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cup Final
Junior triathlete Maeve Gallagher and Ian Manthey also travelled to Portugal to race in the 2018 Funchal ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cup Final. Gallagher finished 27th in the large field in a time of 1:05:52 and Manthey finished 24th in 54:39.
2018 Tong Yeong ITU Triathlon World Cup
Russell White, Carolyn Hayes, Ailbhe Carroll and Chris Mintern raced in the Tong Yeong ITU World Cup. White and Mintern both finished in 55:23 for 32nd and 33rd while Hayes and Carroll finished in 29th and 37th respectively.
