Triathlon Ireland is delighted to announce the return of the Intervarsity National Championships for 2026, offering college and university students across Ireland the chance to compete for national titles in both duathlon and triathlon.
This year, the championships will be hosted across two iconic events:
These events provide a fantastic platform for students to represent their university or college, experience championship racing, and be part of a growing and competitive student community within the sport.
Whether you’re an experienced triathlete or completely new to multisport, the Intervarsity Championships are for you.
Intervarsity Duathlon National Championships
A fast, accessible early-season race set in the heart of Dublin

Swim: 750 m downstream in the River Corrib, one of Europe’s fastest rivers.
Bike: A flat, fast, out-and-back route along the Moycullen bypass.
Run: A scenic finish through the University of Galway campus and along the Corrib.
