South East All Ability Triathlon Report and Gallery
Inaugural South East All Ability Triathlon
Blue skies, gentle breeze, and a warm welcome for our for the 2026 All Ability Triathlon in Waterford!
On Wednesday 20th May from 11am to 2pm, 40 athletes from Centres in Dungarvan, Carlow, Wexford, New Ross, Wicklow and Waterford came together at the Kingfisher Club to experience a fun, inclusive and supportive triathlon event.
The day began with a walk to the pool as part of the warm-up before participants took part in pool-based activities and game-based swim sessions in groups. Athletes then made their way through the park to the impressive blue running track at the Regional Sports Centre, enjoying a stadium-like experience as they walked, jogged or ran at their own pace.
The final section saw participants take on a 10-minute bike course using both adapted and standard bikes, supported throughout by qualified coaches and volunteers – before a final walk, run, jog to the finish line.
