Kilrea & Naas to Host National Champs
Two new 2020 National Championships have been confirmed for Aquathlon and Duathlon, and are now open for entries!
Aquathlon National Champs
On the 6th of September, the Lake at Kilrea Aquathlon will host the National Aquathlon Championships. Run by Triangle Triathlon Club over standard distance, this championships will be the first since multisport’s return.
National Duathlon Championships
The 2020 National Duathlon Championships will be run by Naas Triathlon Club and held at the Galco Naas Duathlon, Punchestown, Co. Kildare on the 11th of October. This will be the third duathlon held at Punchestown this year, and will be essential for anyone hoping to earn points to qualify for the BMW Duathlon National Series. This fast sprint distance course promises exciting racing, and we look forward to welcoming the country’s top duathletes to Naas in October.
This year’s National Sprint and Standard Distance Championships, due to take place at Hook or by Crook and Hell of the West Triathlons respectively, have been rescheduled to 2021.
ENTRIES OPEN!
Entries for both events are now open and can be done on the Race Calendar here.
These events will run in line with the Covid-19 Event Guidelines for Organisers, safety standards that have been approved by Sport Ireland.
If you are not a 2020 Triathlon Ireland Race Licence Holder, One Day Membership will automatically be added to your cart on checkout. Before racing, all athletes must read the Covid-19 Event Guidelines for Athletes.
