Weekend Wrap-Up: Bronze for MacCombe & Clarke

Chloe MacCombe & Aoibh Clarke have followed up their gold in Abu Dhabi with another podium performance, this time in Australia.

The event was won by Spanish Paralympic champion Susana Rodriguez, who was racing in Australia for the first time. Australia’s Maggie Sandles was second on home turf. Full race report from World Triathlon.

Speaking after the race, Chloe summarised;

“It was a good race all things considered…we didn’t quite get the result we had hoped for, but we’re still both pleased with our performance!”

“(It is) always good to secure some points early in the season, even in a year when things are more relaxed.”

Gordon Crawford, TI Performance Director added;

“Abu Dhabi and Devonport has been a really good start to the 2025 season, and a solid measure of where Chloe’s training has gone over the winter months, since her last 2024 race in Vichy, France.”
