CAT A RESULTS

MEN’S CAT A

Enda Bagnall retains his spot at the top of the A League on 104 points but he’s got company! Last week he bettered Jack Kennedy by a single second, last night Kennedy returned the favour – by 0.296 of a second.

Practically handlebar to handlebar (but actually slightly in front) was North West TC’s Stephen Mulberry. Mulberry was the quickest of the top three in an almighty sprint for the line last night, which he achieved 0.067secs ahead of Kennedy (that’s right, less than a tenth of a second). Mulberry now has 99 points – just one less than second placed Kennedy.

WOMEN’S CAT A

The women’s Cat A competition saw the same top two as last week, with Nicola Kehoe and Helen Perry taking the honours. Perry beat TriLimits club mate Susan O’Neill in the sprint for the line. Having upgraded to A this week, O’Neill finished six seconds back for third in 26:36.

Women’s CAT A Club Competition

TriLimits TC are top of the league table and with two contenders on the roster, the other clubs are going to need to add to their Cat A numbers to be in with a chance. Waterford TC sit in second with Belpark third.

Men’s Cat A Club Competition

Edenderry are on top of the A league thanks to Enda Bagnall and Alan Connolly’s efforts. Northwest lie in second with TriLimits in third – both thanks to the solo efforts of Stephen Mulberry and Mark Farquhar respectively.

CAT B RESULTS

MEN’S CAT B

Owen Barron stays on top in the men’s league but a 12th place finish last night means his advantage is narrowed. The big threat at the moment comes from Chris Gallagher, a picture of consistency with two sixth places to his name so far.

Quinton Burke from Tri an Mhí rockets in to third place thanks to a very strong performance in Richmond.

WOMEN’S CAT B

It went right to the line in the women’s B race, with Galways TCs Kate Collins-Smyth and Lanesboro’s Elaine Lally sprinting it out. Kate Collins-Smyth wins her first WattFest round, with Lally just three seconds back to make the podium in second this week. Lizzie Q was third on the night, with Olympian’s Kerry McGrillen fourth.

Women’s Cat B Club Competition

At the moment the top three clubs in the B Category are Lanesboro, TriLakes and TriLimits. With more clubs joining the points race each week, the B Category promises to be as competitive as ever.

Men’s Cat B Club Competition

Things are tight already in the Men’s Cat B team competition with both Tri an Mhi and Tri Limits fielding two riders each week to score 169 and 158 points. Omagh TC lead the charge in third place on 114 points but with three different riders pulling in their points – a strategy that could pay off in the long run.

CAT C RESULTS

MEN’S CAT C

Just two races in and already the Men’s Cat C looks to be a battle royale with just about every rider in the top 10 in contention.

Gearoid Taylor of Boru TC is on top with 91 points, four ahead of Blackwater TC’s Brian Baker, who in turn has a three point advantage of the spring league winner Peter Blissett (Cork TC).

WOMEN’S CAT C

Omagh Triathlon Club were on form in the Cat C standings yesterday evening, claiming three of the top four spots! Louise Mulvaney went one better than last week’s result to top the podium this week. The rest of the top four is rounded out with Omagh riders. Clubmates Lucy McDermott, Cathy Cunningham and Helen Howe finished within 13 seconds of each other after battling it out on course.

Women’s Cat C Club Competition

It’s no surprise that Omagh TC are on top of the club standings with the stand out performances of their athletes.

On 95 points, Galway TC and Naas TC are tied for second while Lanesboro is currently in third just two points adrift.

Men’s Cat C Club Competition

Lanesboro are bossing the C league with a practical peloton of riders! A full turn out of five riders in each of rounds 1 and 2 sees them score a massive 351 points so far.

In second place, Cork Tri have also turned out some impressive numbers with nine riders scoring across two rounds so far to give them 225 points. TriLimits doubled their rider numbers in week two and lie in third on 186 points.

CAT D RESULTS

MEN’S CAT D

Victory for Pulse TC’s Niall Byrne last night ensures he goes top of the men’s D Cat league on 112 points. Mark Mag (Down TC) drops back to 2nd overall but lies a mere two points back. Some great riding by Michael Feeney in Richmond, where be crossed the line in third place, has the Blackwater TC rider on 107 points.

WOMEN’S CAT D

Three newcomers to WattFest topped the podium, adding some excitement to the early stages of the overall league points race! Omagh’s Gemma Skeath had a convincing win, 40 seconds clear of her nearest rival, Kara Appelbe from Cork TC. TriLimits’ Tracey McArdle completes the podium in third place.

Women’s Cat D Club Competition

TriLimits currently lead the standings, with riders Alison Farquhar, Sarah Halliday, Nicola Henry and Tracey McArdle earning their points. Two solid weeks for team TriLimits have given them a good start to the league, but it is still all to play for with Omagh and Lanesboro next on the table.

Men’s Cat D Club Competition

The TriLimits team of Karle Farquhar, Paul Henry and Keith Murphy leads the D Cat Club Competition on 170 points. The D Cat is all to play for however with the next three teams turning out just one rider each over the first two rounds – Pulse in 2nd with Niall Byrne, Down in 3rd with Mark Mag and Blackwater in 4th with Michael Feeney (see above). The club competition is a numbers game and TriLimits are bringing the team.

ISSUES OR MISSING RESULTS

Unlike previous Triathlon Ireland leagues, WattFest is 100pc contained on the Zwift and ZwiftPower platforms which means the league table calculations are automatically derived from the race results.

If you don’t see yourself on the league table, your first port of call should be to check the Zwift Power FAQs and then the ZwiftPower support desk (at the bottom of the FAQ page).

Triathlon Ireland doesn’t have the ability to reverse or edit race results but if you have a question you can’t find the answer to by all means email us and we’ll do our best to help.

If you were ‘filtered’ from any of the races it will have been for a technical reason which again, Triathlon Ireland doesn’t have the power to override. We know getting DQ’d can be frustrating and sometimes not even within the control of the rider.

Here’s a run down of the main reasons a rider will find themselves ‘filtered’ out of the results.
