Survey: Evaluating the Delivery of Virtual Events

We want to hear from you!

A research team from South East Technological University (SETU) are investigating the delivery of the online and hybrid programmes and events rolled out by Triathlon Ireland in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The researchers kindly request that you take 10-15 minutes to complete this anonymous survey, the results of which will help them evaluate and advise on Triathlon Ireland’s approach to virtual events moving forward. This research will also investigate whether Triathlon Ireland should move to a more virtual mode of delivery for coaching courses and other online events.

To participate in this research study, you must meet the below criteria:

  • You are over 18 years old.
  • You were a Triathlon Ireland member during 2020, 2021 AND/OR 2022. You do not need to currently be a member of Triathlon Ireland to participate.
  • If you are not a member but have participated in a hybrid Tri-Leader course (2 online theory sessions, 1 in person practical session), we still want to hear from you.
  • We also want to hear from you if you organise Triathlon Ireland affiliated events or are a Triathlon Ireland Technical Official.

Are there any benefits to taking part?

By taking part in this research project, you are assisting Triathlon Ireland to better position their programmes and events to best support you and other members.

Following the survey, you will be asked whether you would like to opt in to phase two of this research project which will consist of 1-1 interviews held over Zoom. This is entirely optional and does not affect your ability to take part in the survey. These interviews will look to further discuss the delivery of Triathlon Ireland’s hybrid and online events and programmes. Three participants who submit their contact details to attend an interview will be randomly selected to receive a €100 Cycle Superstore voucher!
