Our Junior Triathlon Camps are designed for young athletes who want to develop their swim, bike and run skills in a supportive and fun environment.

Who it’s for 

Whether your child is a beginner looking to try their first triathlon or a developing athlete looking to improve performance, our Triathlon Camps are a fantastic way for young athletes aged 6–17 to get active, have fun, and build confidence in a safe and supportive environment.

About the Camps

Each camp introduces juniors to the three core disciplines of triathlon, swimming, cycling, and running, through games, skill-building sessions, and age-appropriate training. Whether your child is new to the sport or already loves triathlon, there’s something for everyone!

Coaching Team 

Led by  experienced and qualified Triathlon coaches, our team provides expert instruction with emphasis on safety, encouragement and skill progression.

What’s included? 

  • Coached (swim, bike, run) sessions 
  • Fun fitness challenges and mini events
  • Access to safe, supervised training environments

What to bring 

Don’t have all the gear? No problem. We aim to make Junior Triathlon Camps as accessible as possible. If your child is missing any of the required equipment, simply let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to help.

Halloween Camp – Vicarstown

 

Triathlon Ireland  are delighted to bring their Junior Halloween Camp to Vicarstown on 28th, 29th and 30th October. 

Date / Time:

  • Tuesday 28th October: 9.30am-1.30pm
  • Wednesday 29th October: 9.30am-1.30pm
  • Thursday 30th October: 9.30am-1.30pm 

Activities will include running skills, bike drills, transition training, yoga, circuits, and a mini event to finish the fun-filled 3 days. 

 

Location: 

Annanough GAA Club, Vicarstown (Cosby), Vicarstown, Co. Laois, R32 RX67

Equipment Needed: 

Bike, Helmet, Running Attire, Swimming Togs/wetsuits (not for swimming!) Rain Coat, Small Snack, Water

Cost:
€35.00 for TI members / €50 for non-TI members

Age: This camp is open to young people age 6-14 years of all abilities.

Halloween Camp – Craigavon 

 

Triathlon Ireland are delighted to bring their Junior Halloween Camp to Craigavon on 27th, 28th and 29th October. 

Date / Time: 

  • Monday 27th October 10.30am-1.30pm
  • Tuesday 28th October 10.30am-1.30pm
  • Wednesday 29th October 10.30am-1.30pm

 The camp will focus on bike, run and swim skills with lots of fun and games. 

Location: 

South Lake Leisure Centre, 1 Lake Road, Craigavon 

Equipment Needed:

Bike, Helmet, Running Attire, Swimming Togs, Goggles, Swim Hat, Rain Coat, Small Snack, Water.

Cost:
€35.00 for TI members / €50 for non-TI members

Age: The camp welcomes ages 8-14 years of all abilities and experience levels.

Halloween Camp – Nutts Corner, Antrim 

 

Triathlon Ireland are delighted to bring their Junior Halloween Camp to Antrim on 30th October. 

Date / Time: 

  • Thursday 30th October 10am-2pm.

 The camp will focus on bike, run and transition 2 skills. The camp is aimed at athletes with some experience in one or both disciplines.

Location: 

Nutts Corner, Antrim 

Equipment Needed: Bike (Must be a road bike) , Helmet, Running Attire, Rain Coat, Small Snack, Water.

Cost: 
€10.00 for TI members / €25 for non-TI members

Age: The camp welcomes ages 14-17 with some experience.

SUMMER PROGRAMME SUCCESS!

This summer’s Junior Triathlon Camps were a fantastic success, welcoming enthusiastic young athletes from across the four provinces. Participants developed their swim, bike and run skills while building confidence, teamwork and true love for the sport. The positive feedback from families made it one of our most rewarding seasons yet. Building on that success we’re already planning our 2026 programme with more camp dates and locations. youghal summer camp: 26th - 28th June

Times:
26th June: 1:30pm – 5:30pm
27th June: 11am – 3pm
28th June: 11am – 3pm

Triathlon Ireland and South Coast Triathlon Club are delighted to bring their young people’s Summer Camp to Youghal this year. Activities will include running skills, bike drills, swimming, and a mini event to finish the fun-filled 3 days. This camp is open to young people of all abilities.

Ages: 8 to 17 year olds
Cost:
€35 for Triathlon Ireland members
€35 +TI membership for non-members

Locations: Youghal Front Strand and Claycastle Beach

 

Equipment Needed: Bike, Helmet, Running Attire, Swimming Togs/ Trisuit, Goggles, Swim Hat, Tow Float, Suncream, Hand Sanitiser, Rain Coat, Small Snack, Water.

**Please note that participants must be able to swim a minimum of 50m to participate***

Ballinakill, Laois SUMMER CAMP: 14th July - 16th July
