International Racing: Looking Ahead to World Triathlon Para Series Montreal
The World Triathlon Para Series visits Montreal this weekend, and Team Ireland are lining out. A strong team of seven athletes, including three PTVI pairings, have travelled to Canada to race.

COURSE PROFILE
SWIM I The 750m (one lap) swim takes place in the Olympic Basin at the Parc Jean-Drapeau
BIKE I 20,4km ( 5 laps)
The PTS-PTVI bike course takes place on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, a clockwise 3.9km loop on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (CGV).
RUN I The PTS-PTVI 5km, two lap run course takes place on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and the path alongside the Olympic Basin.

Tom Williamson I PTS5
Tom will be carrying momentum off the back of his first World Para Series podium in Taranto and defending his European Bronze medal at the 2025 European Championships last month. Tom, who goes into this race ranked fourth, will have his eye on another podium performance and cementing his name as a World Triathlon Para Series contender.
Judith MacCombe and guide Eimear Nicholls I Women’s PTVI
Like Tom, Judith and Eimear can confidently toe the line following their double bronze medal performances from Taranto World Triathlon Para Series and claiming their first championship medal at the 2025 European Para Triathlon Championships last month. Judith and Eimear will be hoping to continue this fine form and continue to build their World Triathlon ranking and experience racing at World Series level.


Donnacha McCarthy and guide Sean Husband I Men’s PTVI
Donnacha and Sean have commenced their double racing block with a bronze medal finish at the 2025 World Triathlon Para Cup Magog. Donnacha and Sean in Montreal will be able to take confidence from their strong performance across swim, bike and run last weekend into this weekend’s test. With a season best World Para Triathlon ranking of 10th, they are positioning themselves very well for end of the season races and demonstrating solid consistency in their performances.
Chloe MacCombe and guide Aisling Wyer I Women’s PTVI
Montreal will see the second outing for new pairing Chloe and Aisling. They will carry lots of positives from their debut last month at the 2025 European Championships, where they finished in fifth position. This weekend the focus will be on a strong performance to maintain their position in the world rankings.
