Thousands of triathletes descended upon the streets of Athy this weekend for the biggest triathlon of the year at TriAthy, taking place across four distances, the Try A Tri, Sprint, Standard, and the all new TA100 distance.
Triathlon National Series racing focussed on the standard distance event, with almost 700 athletes taking to the banks of the Barrow for the rolling start. David Higgins and Emma O’Brien were the winners with Becky Woods and Donal Sheehy second, Aisling Wyer and Shane Dunne in third.
