About Fiona O’Donnell
I began mycareer in health when I was 18 and I started working at the check in desk in the ED of my local hospital. From the very first second I sat in that chair, I knew I wanted a career working in that environment. A few years later, I moved to Dublin and enrolled to study Medical Physics so that I could become a Cardiac Clinical Physiologist. In this job, I would be involved in diagnostic testing of patients who showed signs or symptoms of cardiac disease or other illnesses that impacted on the heart. I absolutely loved my job and every day was different and exciting. Roll forward a number of years and, following the birth of my third child, I decided that juggling a full time, very demanding job and being a mom to 3 children was not the lifestyle I wanted. So, I left my job in the hospital and returned to University to achieve my Masters in Exercise and Nutrition Science.
Since then, I have been working with 1-1 clients, teams, corporates and colleges developing wellness programmes, offering insight into poor lifestyle choices and steering my clients in the direction of a healthier version of themselves.
