Munster & Connacht Post-Primary Schools Regional Championships
The combined Munster and Connacht Post-Primary School Regional Championship was held at Kilcoran Pool in Clarinbridge, Galway on Sunday, 15 April.
Over 60 athletes braved the April showers to compete for their school in the championship. The first three from each age category then qualify to represent their province at the National Post-Primary School Championships in May, the date and venue for which will be announced shortly.
Organised by Galway’s Predator Triathlon Club, four different age groups took on courses of varying distances around the scenic estate surrounding Kilcoran Pool; Minor, Junior, Intermediate and Senior. The rain didn’t dampen spirits however, and all the athletes raced really well with great support from the onlookers.
