Ireland Claims Two Duathlon Medals at Multisport World Championships
Geraldine Gill and Sheila Power have claimed two medals for Ireland in the duathlon event at the 2017 Multisport World Championships Penticton in Canada.
Both women finished third in their Age Groups in the standard distance duathlon event to bring home a pair of bronze medals from the multisport festival in British Columbia.
Harry McDermott was the next best finisher of the Irish contingent racing this week, he finished 4th in the men’s 50-54 sprint duathlon.
A total of eleven athletes raced the duathlon events earlier this week in a multi sport festival that will also stage cross triathlon, aquathlon and aqua bike events over the coming days.
