Triathlon Ireland Major Events 2018

Following a competitive bidding process from races across the country, Triathlon Ireland is delighted to announce the major events calendar for the 2018 multisport season.

The races chosen to host the BMW Triathlon National Series, the BMW Duathlon National Series, Super Series and National Championships across all distances and disciplines are listed below.

More than 200 individual events will make up the full Triathlon Ireland race calendar in 2018 – all of which will be published on the race calendar section shortly.

2018 BMW Duathlon National Series

Ireland’s largest duathlon series, taking in eight duathlons staged over a three month period including the National Championships in Letterkenny.
Athletes are scored off their best three races which must include the National Championships.

2018 BMW Triathlon National Series

Ireland’s largest endurance sport league involving 17 races in some of the island’s most scenic locations.
Athletes are scored off their best four races which must include at least one sprint and one standard distance event.

Draft legal ITU style racing by Ireland’s best triathletes and future olympians.
Athletes are scored off their best three races with additional points for the Sprint Distance National Championships at DCT.
