Recruitment and Selection of New Tutors

Recruitment Criteria

Education:

• Science qualification in relevant area (coaching, sport science) or Equivalent (Sport CV).

 Membership

• TI Licence.
• 2 Years in Triathlon Circles.

 Coaching experience:

• Safeguarding:         

1. Form 8
2. Child protection course.
3. GV/ANI

• TI Level 1 qualification.
• Qualification in 2 other sport and fitness disciplines.
• Worked with age group or junior academy or HP athletes.

Other requirements

Tutors will be expected to complete a tutor course run by Coaching Ireland in Limerick over 5 non consecutive weekends between January and April.

Tutors will be expected to tutor a number of courses throughout the year which can range from 1 day to 3 days and will take place predominantly on weekends. 

Selection

• Through coaching panel.
• 15-30 min presentation.
• 1 hour exam.
• References.
