HER OUTDOORS WEEK 2022
HER Outdoors Week will take place from 8th-14th August 2022. The week aims to celebrate and encourage more females to get out and enjoy the benefits of being outdoors while bringing visibility to the opportunities for women to get involved in outdoor physical activity. The first ever HER Outdoors Week was held in August 2021 and it was a huge success.
This week will be an opportunity for women and girls to head to the outdoors, and try something new. Read on to find out about two Triathlon Ireland events for next week…
ME AND MY GIRLS – CLUB EVENTS
Triathlon Ireland wants to encourage women to get outdoors and bring their girls along too; mums, daughters, nieces, friends, cousins and grannies.
NINETEEN of our clubs will be running events next week, keep an eye out on our socials for all the details!
PILATES ON STAND UP PADDLE BOARDS!
On Wednesday, 10th of August, Triathlon Ireland will be hosting a Pilates on Stand Up Paddle Boards session, followed by a session on Menopause and Exercise with Coach Developer and TI Development Officer Denise Murphy.

The session will take place at South Lakes Leisure Centre in Craigavon, is a free event and open to anyone to attend.
What to bring:
– Swimming costume
– Wetsuit (or one can be borrowed from the centre)
– Shoes you don’t mind getting wet
– Towel
– Trainers and sports gear for the Menopause and Exercise Information Session

OAT Programme with Athletics Ireland & Orienteering Ireland

This exciting programme takes place on Saturday, 13th August and will see girls aged 12 to 17 have the chance to try multiple sports in one day! Triathlon Ireland has joined forces with Athletics Ireland and Orienteering Ireland for this free event to celebrate HER Outdoors week.
Finn Valley Leisure Centre in Stranorlar, Co. Donegal will be the location for the event, which will start at 10am. For full details of timings and what to bring, please see below.
