Zwift Winter-Spring League 2021

Zwift racing is back with our largest and most varied league yet!

The Triathlon Ireland Winter-Autumn League in association with our friends at 3R begins this Wednesday and over the course of 12 weeks will take riders around all the best routes and race formats that Zwift has to offer.

We’ve listened to your feedback and for our latest league have a mix of time trialing and draft legal racing, more hilly events (including an epic race up the 1,444m of Alpe d’Zwift!) and most importantly, a women’s only category.

Winter-Spring League 2021 Events

Racing kicks off on January 13th and runs all the way through to March 31st. Each rider’s eight best results count towards their final league standing.

Week 1: BologNA Time Trial

The league opens with an individual time trial taking in not one but two laps of the event-only Bologna TT course in a gruelling 24.6km battle against the clock.

Enter this week’s race via Zwift

Although drafting will be turned off for this individual time trial, riders in each start pen will be set off together so beware – those who are tempted to go out too hard will almost certainly pay the price on one of the two ascents of the Via del Monte Albano.

TEAM COMPETITION

Each week, the team competition adds the results of a team’s top five riders to compile a team score.

All sanctioned Triathlon Ireland clubs will be eligible for the team competition – to have your results contribute to your triathlon club you must be set up with that club on ZwiftPower when you race.

There are five team competition tables (A Cat Team, B Cat Team, C Cat Team, D Cat Team, E Cat Team)

In contrast to the Autumn League, one we publish each week’s team standings, the results will be final – a subsequent rider transfer from one team to another will have no effect on the team results from previous weeks.

Time Trial League riders must not choose Triathlon Ireland as their team if they want to be included in the team competition.

PRIZES

As well as winning the bragging rights for finishing top of a particular category in the league, a range of great prizes will be awarded to the best riders in each table at the end of the league.

To be eligible however, a rider will have to a 2021 Full Member (or their junior/U23 equivalent).

SCORING

The following points will be assigned to the finishers in each category.

1st : 61 points
2nd : 56 points
3rd : 51 points
4th-50th : 49-3 points
Every finisher from 51st onwards will receive 1 point.
