Upcoming New to Tri Programmes What is 'new to tri'?Most clubs around the country will organise an annual New to Tri programme that starts in early spring. This is an 8 - 10 week programme of training with a triathlon club for those new to triathlon. The programme will vary from club to club but generally you are taught all about triathlon, how to train, what gear you need/don't need, what happens on race day, how to handle the transition area, swimming - the list could go on!As you can see, these programmes are a valuable tool for the triathlon community and a great way for newcomers to get into the sport in a non-intimidating and inclusive way. It's a super way to make friends in your new sport, it's always good to have people you can call on for an after swim coffee or a Saturday cycle!Got a new to tri programme in your club? let us know! Here are some of the New to Tri programmes in the Dublin area that we have been made aware of.
