
Irish Age Group athletes earned a gold and two bronze medals at the 2017 Pentiction Multisport World Championships in Canada.
A team of 16 Irish athletes travelled to the event just east of Vancouver in British Columbia.
The best performance of the week long festival of triathlon from an Irish perspective came from Michelle Henegahan, who won her 30-34 AG in the Aquabike to claim a world championship gold medal.

Earlier in the week, Geraldine Gill (40-44 AG) and Shiela Power (55-59 AG) got the championships off to a great start by claiming a bronze medal each in the Duathlon event.
There were also great top ten performances from HarryMcDermott (twice), ElizabethO'Connor (three times!), NigelFanning, AndyHarrington, ElizabethO'Connor and JasonTravers.
